On 16th July 2013 the
Canadian phone maker company Blackberry, has launched its latest Smartphone
Blackberry Q5 which is the most affordable Smartphone today in the market that
runs on the Blackberry 10.1 operating system. This phone will be available at a
price of Rs. 24,990. The phone has touch screen and a QWERTY keypad which is
very rare today.
Details of Blackberry Q5 Smartphone:
Blackberry Q5 is a 3.1 inch
touch screen Smartphone along with QWERTY keypad. Its screen is 3.1 inch IPS LCD
display with 720 x 720 pixels of resolutions. The pixel density of the screen
is 329 ppi.
The Blackberry Q5 is powered
by dual core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor along with 2 GB of RAM.
The internal memory of this Smartphone
is 8 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB by using micro SD card.
This Blackberry device has
good quality camera with 5 mega pixel of rear view camera which capable of
giving clear view. And 2 mega pixel of front camera which can be used for video
calling. The device supports 4 elements F 2.4 lens flash, continuous and touch
to focus, image stabilization, digital zoom of 5 times. It also gives the
facility of video recording at 1080 pixels.
This Smartphone has many
connectivity options including Wi-Fi802.11b/g/h, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and
Network Bands.

The battery of the Blackberry
Q5 is 2180 mAh non removable battery. On 3G network it offers 12.5 hours talk
time and 14 days of standby time. While on 2G network it offers 10 hours of
talk time and 13 days of standby time.
The dimensions of this Smartphone
are 4.72 x 2.59 x 0.42 inches and its weight is 120 grams.
Price and Availability in India:
Blackberry Q5 will hit the
stores on July 20th 2013 at price of Rs. 24,990. This phone will be
available in red, white and black colors.
This time Blackberry has used
plastic to make the body of this phone instead of using cold forged steel which
was used in its previous model Q10. This is the second QWERTY keypad Smartphone
that is available in the market at this price range. The first one is two year
old Blackberry Touch 9900.
In the Indian Smartphone
market the big competitors of this phone are Google Nexus 4, Samsung Galaxy S4
mini, Sony Xperia SP and Nokia Lumia
