The Smurfs 2 is an upcoming 2013 American Hollywood film. It is a 3D family comedy movie which is based on the previous 2011 hit film ‘The Smurfs’. The movie is based on the ‘The Smurfs’ comic book series that is created by Belgian comics artist Peyo. 

The movie is produced by Sony Pictures Animation and it is distributed by Columbia Pictures. 

The director of the movie is Raja Gosnell. In this film all the main cast of ‘The Smurfs’ returns in this sequel and along with these some new cast are also included. These new cast include Christina Ricci and J.B. Smoove as members of the Naughties and Brendan Gleeson as Patrick Winslow’s stepfather.

The Smurfs 2 movie is going to release on different dates in different parts of the world. On 31^st July in United States of America and on 2^nd August in India.

Story of the movie ‘The Smurfs 2’:

Here in the film, Gargamel became a celebrity sorcerer creates some Smurfs like creatures, these creatures are Naughties. Gargamel hopes that these Naughties will give him harness the all powerful, magical Smurfs essence.

But he came to know that only a real Smurf can give him what he wants. And only Smurfette knows the secret of how to turn these Naughties into real Smurfs. Therefore to get the secret Gargamel kidnaps the Smurfette and brings her to Paris.

Papa, Clumsy, Grouchy and Vanity managed and transported themselves to the real world using magical crystals. With the help of their human friends Patrick and Grace Winslow they tried to rescue Smurfette.
