Nokia Asha 501 has been officially launched in India. This Nokia device will be available in many colours and with many features. Company has launched this phone with a price of much less than its actual value as compared to its features. It has many new features which were not there in the previous Asha series. This phone will be available in different shades like Black, White, Yellow, Cyan and Red, and is now available to purchase in Nokia’s Official Online stores. However, Nokia earlier started taking pre-orders for the booking of this phone on its website.
Details of Nokia Asha 501:
Nokia Asha comes with a 3.0 inches capacitive touchscreen with resolution of 240x320 pixels, a single back button with weighs a mere 98 grams. The smart phone is packed with 3.2 mega pixel rear view camera. Nokia had said that we will be offering its two variants, one will be single SIM and other will be dual-SIM of Nokia Asha 501. The dual-SIM variant is currently listed on the India stores that come with easy swap features.
This smart phone offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for the connectivity but it does not support 3G and GPRS. The storage capacity of this device is good as compared to its price, the internal storage capacity is 64 MB which can be expanded upto 32 GB by using microSD card. Nokia is providing a 4 GB microSD card fully free with this device.
Nokia claims that it offers 17 hours of talktime and standby time of 26 days with only a single charge.

Nokia Asha 501 comes with over 50 pre-installed apps like Twitter and Facebook, chat services like Line, nimbuzz and WeChat and other apps such as Cricbuzz, Newshunt, GetMeRated, CNN, Cricinfo, ComicsHead and Twist Music. These pre-installed apps will be very useful for the user because all the apps which user needs are already present in this smart phone. The phone also provides 40 free EA games that can be downloaded by the consumer.
Some popular applications such as eBuddy, ESPN, LinkedIn, Pictelligent, The Weather Channel, World of Red Bull and other few popular games from Electronic Arts, Gameloft, Indiagames, NamcoBandai and Reliance Games are already available on the Asha platform. Nokia claims that it will add more popular apps to this smart phone in the near future.
