Lootera
Lootera is a upcoming Bollywood romance drama film directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and is produced by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena, Vikas Bahl. This is the second film of the director Motwane after his debut hit film Udaan. The film stars are Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha. The film is going to release on 5th July 2013.

This is the story of the two lovers in the West Bengal in 1950s. So all the crew members did very hard work to make this film according to that era.

Story of the Lootera Movie:




 The story of the Lootera begins in the year 1953. A boy named Varun Shirivastav comes to the village of Manikpur of West Bengal with a fake identity archaeologist along with his team to steal valuable ancient idol of the temple of the local Zamindar.



He has great knowledge and lot of experience which was beyond his age, this greatly impresses Zamindar, his family and Pakhi, Zamindar’s only daughter. She finds herself to be drawn towards him. But Varun is not like that which he looks on the surface.

As the simmering attraction between them leads to deep love. He is forced to choose her or his past. A day before their marriage Varun decides what he hgas to do. Varun, along with his team disappeared from the village along with the idol of the temple.



On the next day when Pakhi’s father discovered that idol is stolen from the village and Varun is not there along with his team, he could not bear the pain of this incident and died after with a heart attack.



After that Pakhi struggles to move on with her life and she decides to forget him and their relationship.



Then she comes to Shimla where they have another home to live. When Varun and his team come to Shimla for their another project, he met with Pakhi and returns to her life in the very extraordinary conditions.



Inspired From:




The story of the movie is inspired from the short story of O.Henry’s “The Last Leaf”, Lootera is the story of two lovers.
